Forbidden Kingdom
Finally bought myself a copy of Cloverfield DVD which i missed when it was shown in the cinema. I loved it! I remember overhearing some people saying that they didn't really see the monster or something in between those lines. I think they should open their eyes bigger when they watch a movie. Either that or they should stop listening to what 'people' say and watch the movie themselves before going around telling other people what they heard about certain movies.
Oh, i managed to catch Jackie Chan and Jet Li's "Forbidden Kingdom" too. I didn't know it's somewhat linked to the Monkey King story as i've never seen the trailer of that movie so it was a bit of a surprise for me there. If you've watched dozen of Jet Li and Jackie Chan's movie, you wouldn't be so surprise with this movie lah. I think they just want to wow the ang-mohs with their martial arts skills. Personally, i didn't really enjoy the movie that much due to the fact that 98% of the movie are all acted by Chinese actors but only 2% of the movie speaks Chinese. Not that i have anything against English-speaking-Chinese movie but come on, English boy somehow teleported himself to ancient China and all of a sudden, the people from ancient China can speak English? Pretty ridiculous. Heck, even the Monkey King himself can speak English!
If that's not bad enough, after watching the movie, i think my English got degraded. Not that it's good to begin with but really, i think Kung Pow's English was much better. Weeee-yu-wee-yuu-wee-yuu!

It’s said that all characters in the movie refer to lots of other Chinese movies or legends, and I believe the movie will seem much funnier to us if we know more about the China and its people. On the other hand, it’s really a harmless outlets for the impulses repressed
in the hearts of about 13-year-old boys whose parents won’t let them rent Once Upon a Time in China or the Kill Bill movies.
Can you believe it! I’m watching The Forbidden kingdom on my iPodnow! I rushed into the cinema the day before yesterday, as if fighting for a ticket to "beat" Jet lee and Jackie Chan who rule the box office.
Luckily, I download the avi video of this movie, and ripg the funny and exciting clips onto my ipod, to make sure I can enjoy it whenever I can on the go.
A fabulous DVD movies to iPod conversion tool helps me a lot. It's named PQ DVD to iPod Converter Suite. It’s a superb software, and allows me to set the start time and end time, producing the exact clip I want. Meanwhile, the speed is really as fast as you
can imagine.

You can try ripping Forgetting Sarah Marshall onto the iPod or PSP if you like it better.
Uhhh about the commenter before mine... Looks like computer generated ad... Hardcore fan of Jet Li spelling his name two different ways and constantly pushing converters... Probably should delete it until proven wrong... Don't promote piracy people!
Oh the static sound is just brilliant. I got a bit scared just hearing the effects...scared something might just suddenly appear with a loud effect. Haha. I manage to get another dvd that has the same concept like Cloverfield. Can't remember the title but it's also like recorded on a camera...haha!
The 'Help Us' part is right at the end of the credits... If you are able to reverse the 'Help Us' sound it's actually 'It's still alive'... we probably won't do it... but just thought you would like to know...
I think a simple review for Forbidden Kingdom is that if it came out before the Matrix and Crounching Tiger and Hidden Dragon like ten years ago... It would be great... but now with better movies it's just not that good in relation to them... some childish funny scenes but that's it...
